The Dancing Prince
Welcome back.
First up, EXORCISM ISLAND #2 is available to read now on Amazon. Like with issue one we greatly appreciate people checking it out and five star reviews if you’re so inclined really help the series get out to more people. As of writing we are riding high at #3 in the US comics chart, which is pretty cool.
US types can read it here.
Blighty botherers here.
It really is a stunning comic and the love we’ve been getting for it has been really nice to hear after so long working on it.
In other news I just got back from a visit to England where I was lucky enough to see the new film GAME, with a screenplay by Judge Dredd writer extraordinaire and all round good guy Rob Williams. As I told Rob, “I genuinely enjoyed it", so I’d recommend getting out to see it if you get the opportunity.
Also whilst back on the shivery south coast I grabbed a ticket to see my favourite standup Stewart Lee at the Brighton Dome. As ever it was a wonderful show inducing tears of laughter from me and I even got to have a chat with Stew after the show about comics, as he’s a long time comic reader (check out his conversations with Alan Moore if you’ve never seen them).
THOUGHT BUBBLE
Finally, to the main reason I was back in Blighty - the Thought Bubble Comic Convention in Harrogate.
Absolutely the best comic convention in the UK that I’ve been (and one of the best worldwide) once again lived up to his reputation and I had a great time selling my comics, chatting with fans and getting to catch up with various buddies.
As you can just about see from the photo of my table here I was privileged to be placed next to Kev Maguire, so got to spend the whole weekend watching him do his commissions. What an immense talent he is. Gorgeous work.
I came away from the event feeling in a great place about comics and creativity and there are many people to thank for that but a special shout out to my regular dinner and drinks buddies who kept me laughing and inspired the whole weekend Garth Ennis, Rob Williams, Si Spurrier, Keith Burns, Pye Parr, Andrew Sumner, Emma and Ruth. Such a fantastic weekend with the best people.
That’s all for now.
Stay safe out there.

I didn't make it to Thought Bubble this year, but tabled in '24 and had an absolute blast. I'll definitely have to return. Agreed - it's one of the best cons in the world.
